Devkit: Happy Easter
Interview with Loren Feldman from South By Southwest 2009
At the 2009 SXSW, I did a quick little interview with my buddy Loren Feldman of 1938media. Despite the fact that I was massively hungover (note the sexy, drooping eyelids), I still managed to make a few good points about Thesis, the philosophy behind solid WordPress themes, and “social media,” which is the hottest, most unnecessary buzz phrase of the moment.
Portfolio: 3 Application Icons for MacRumors New Software Bundle (BunnyBundle)
We’re excited to announce that we’ve worked with the biggest mac website & forum around, MacRumors, designing some icons for a new Mac Software Bundle they have released recently. Take a look at the software bundle and see their range of innovative new products for Mac users.
We were approached by MacRumors to make 3 icons for them, I’ll outline the Icons we made and their functions below:
FemText
Today’s modern women don’t have time to be bogged down by bloated, male-centric word processors. They need their ideas to flow forth, like a fresh summer’s breeze (or possibly a gentle mountain stream) and FemText is the only text editor designed with the gentler sex in mind. The idea: For this icon we played on the TextEdit Icon, with a softer and more feminine touch.
Screen Supersize
Just install the Screen SuperSize drivers and pop your 4th generation iPod nano into its dock. Its humongous 240×320-pixel display will instantly become your Mac’s primary desktop. Use your iMac, MacBook, MacBook Air, or MacBook Pro screen or your Mac Pro external display for extra apps, windows, and palettes. You’ll be more productive in no time! The idea behind this icon was to represent viewing your current screen on a much more convenient, smaller screen.
UnDesktop
How often does this happen to you in your work as a Photoshop professional? You’ve been hired to airbrush photos for the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. While the boss isn’t looking, you use your computer to do a little private web surfing for information about the sociological implications of using bond-based financing for urban development initiatives. But your boss returns suddenly and you can’t hide your windows fast enough. You’ve been caught! The Idea for this icon was to show an easy way to close the window, and cover what you were viewing with a work related window, hense the split screen.

Make sure you read the full information and key features before posting a comment. You can see all of the applications, including others that we didn’t design the icons for, on the MacRumors BunnyBundle information page. I think you’ll agree they are truly amazing applications. The price is set at $49, for the whole bundle, and more bundles are unlocked after a certain amount of apps are sold. Enjoy.
