Most know the saying, ‘laughter is the best medicine’, and even more know that there is a lot of truth in those words. There is little that can uplift the spirit as quickly as a flurry of infectious laughter. Many who work from behind the camera’s lens know how powerful humorous photography can be.

Often unexpected, these comedic captures take our breath away, as do so many well shot photographs; however, these often do so because we are laughing too hard. More often than not, these photos are set up, first in the photographer’s imagination and then physically. Though sometimes, it is just a matter of being in the right place at the right time like always.

We went out to find captures that would do just that for our readers, and we think the laughs will come. No laughter track needed. So take a look through this comedic collection of humorous photography and hopefully get your day started, or turned around, with a smile and a gentle chuckle.

One area of design that tends to constantly be producing innovative and impressive results is the field of costume design. With so many important scenes relying heavily on the costumes to help create and solidify the tone and feeling of the piece, costume designers have a lot to carry on their shoulders. So much has to be conveyed through the clothing the models are clad in, and sold through them as they are often more than just the focal point of the piece, they are often the only engaging element in the foreground.

The world is a wide and wondrous place, with so many cultures and traditions shaping the world’s people. And with all of our differences, there are universals that seem to govern or guide human behaviors from all over the world. For instance, many countries hold celebrations for various occasions, and one element of these events that pops up all over is a major fireworks display.

With so many architectural marvels all around us, photographers often turn their lenses towards these structural models, and the results are often as wondrous as the architectural artistry they are capturing.
